Minimizing (in my opinion) is getting rid of items that have no use or I never wear. If I do wear them they should stay in the closet. What good do they do tucked away in a box? However, I am limiting what I will buy this season.
Also minimizing lets me know what I have too many of:
1. Coats I have way too many coats and I only use like 4 of them anyway. (Peacoat, Trench, Ski, and a Long Wool Coat)
2. Skirts (mostly all for work)
3. Summer shoes (these will go into hiding in the top of closet later this fall)
What I will be allowed to buy if I find perfect and only 1 of each item
1. Black tall leather flat boots (I threw mine away last year)
2. A shirt for under a jacket for work. (I have a lot of shells/ tanks but few short sleeve shirts)
3. Workout cropped pants (I will donate my current pair after I buy a new one)
that's absolutely it.
I'm not getting rid of items I will wear but I don't need to buy more. Each day I will try to come up with a new outfit too and post them here. By trying on different things I will know if I want to keep the item.
