Yes and no, ....it depends.
I got a Red Door Arden Standard Facial on Friday and I loved it. It was an amazing spa experience but other than relaxing I don't see that much change in my skin for long. My skin is on the dry side so getting multiple moisturizing products applied and hot steam feel great. My skin feels much smoother and more hydrated when I'm done, but it's doesn't change my skin dramatically. So when people ask me if going to get a facial is worth it I have to say "yes" and "no".
Skin care needs to start at home in my opinion. Drinking water and exercise helps me keep a healthy body. Also, there are so many at home options that can help skin day to day. Every body is different so try different products and see what works the best for you.
Facials are great if you need extra help. Some esthetician are incredibly knowledgeable about different products and skin types. There are so many different kinds of facials for different needs. I have tried a few facials, especially in winter and after traveling when my skin feels the driest. However, I wish I could see the results I hear but sadly I don't see much benefit. Does it have lasting benefits or benefits I don't see? I don't know.
It's up to every person to see how much difference the facial does for them and then decide if the befits are worth it to them. However, if you just want to go get a facial for the relaxation that's a great choice too.
