Packing Tips: Work Conferences

I went to a conference this week and here are my tips and tricks

1) I got a new Macbook pro 2017 and Love it!!!!  My old one (2011) just couldn't keep up anymore

Not really a tip but wanted to share how much I love not waiting for photoshop to decide to work

2)  Always remember to bring an external battery

I wish they made one for USB- C for the Macbook pro but so far the battery life has been good.

please comment if you know of one Thanks!

3) Bring a sweater
they always make the conference rooms really cold

4) don't forget your business cards

5)  bring a small coffee cup that keeps coffee warm ( I'm going to order one and I'll post a review) my current one is great for traveling but it's a 16 oz. I want one that is 8oz  Also by having a different cup people will know which one is yours

6) lots of pens - we give them out as a marketing giveaway and people are always thankful

7) have a purse big enough for your laptop but also have a laptop backpack

I love my Slim Laptop Backpack, Business Computer Bag with Headphone Port, Anti Theft Travel Backpacks with USB Charging Hole for College, Fits 15 15.6 inch Laptop / Notebook by Yorepek (Black). It's just the right size.

However, it's not very big so if you have any camera gear it will be too small. I'm looking for a better bag for my bigger camera

8) Girls: Dresses are easy to pack (roll them) - always bring one in case there is a formal dinner.

9) Clutches make great makeup bags.  If you can leave your makeup in the room then bring your small purse down so you don't have to bring a large purse for dinner. Just have enough room for your phone, and business cards

10) have a good time and talk to as many people as possible :)
