Running: Just get back up and try again

So I'm pretty sure I have "Runners Knee".

https://www.runnersworld.com/ask-the-sports-doc/whats-the-best-solution-for-runners-knee

I didn't go to a doctor but Google knows alls, right?

When I was running my 10K my left knee was in pain and I could not run after the first 5k. So what does the internet say to do. START my training over. (also strength training)

I might have overtrained or not trained hard enough and I ran too far too fast during the race.  So I will be starting the Couch to 5K program over again.  I only have two 5k before Christmas so I will be keeping straight to the apps program and see if I improve in both speed and less pain. However, my distance running was helping my lower milage speed I'm scared to keep my milage under 3 miles and loose some of my longer runs. I have a half marathon in March and need to start training for that no later than January.

But I know it's for the best.

Q: Have you ever had to make a choice where you weren't thrilled with the best choice?

Also I'm excited because I get to get another pair of running shoes. The pink ones have used up their milage.
