What happens when you are running low on makeup but are trying to spend less?
Do you:
1. Buy more because you value having the item?
2. Wait until you run our completely?
3. Don't wear makeup anymore? - (lol that's not an option for me. I like wearing makeup.)
4. Buy the item when it's on sale
One of of my goals is to spend less money in 2018 since I'm planning a wedding. However, today I noticed that my everyday makeup is almost out. I went to my computer to order more but realized that I didn't need to buy it right then. What if I waited 24 hours? Would it hurt anything?
However, since I wear this daily and is something value should I question the purchase? When does a want, which adds value to your life, become worth spending? My opinion, which is still very hard to follow, is that my budget will decide these decisions. I have priorities that I have to hit and after those predetermined values then I can decide where the extra money goes.
I haven't been the best in this activity in the past years but now that there are two of us it's more than myself I owe. Since it's a new year I'm starting fresh tomorrow. This means I'm going to forgive myself for overspend start at 0 again, and promise myself and my fiance that I will be accountable to this budget month to month.
In this specific makeup case, I decided to wait until the makeup is completely out and use up what I have in my makeup case. This takes into account that I am trying not to add more stuff into the apartment as well. But I will buy it when it completely empty and I will make adjustments to my budget when I do. This is because it adds value to my life and it's worth it to me within my budget.
What are your tricks to saving money on necessary, but not needed items?
